It doesn't stop the heat
Tesla's roof glass is tinted for looks, not heat. The infrared comes straight through and cooks the cabin, so the A/C runs hard for the first ten minutes of every drive — and in a Tesla, that's range.
It doesn't protect the interior
UV through the roof and side glass is what turns white seats yellow, cracks the dash and delaminates the screen. Ceramic film blocks 99% of it.
It doesn't stop the glare
Westbound on the 60 or the 202 at sunset is brutal, and the giant windshield on a Model X or Y makes it worse. Ceramic tint cuts glare without the mirror look of metallic film.

Does roof tint actually help range?+
Indirectly, yes. A cooler cabin means the A/C works less to bring the car down to temperature, and A/C is one of the biggest range drains in an Arizona summer. Most owners notice the cabin cools faster and the fans stop running flat-out after the first mile.
Will it interfere with LTE, Bluetooth or the key card?+
No. APTERIX:SLR has no metal layer, so there's nothing to block the car's antennas, your phone key or the key card. That's a problem with metallic films, not ceramic.
