Why Color PPF in Arizona
Vinyl is a thin film with adhesive that softens above 110°. In the East Valley that means edges lifting and seams opening by year two. Color PPF is thick urethane engineered for exactly this climate.
Wash marks, light scratches and swirls flow back smooth in the sun. A vinyl wrap shows every scratch forever. Color PPF looks the same in year four as it did on day one.
The 60, the 202 and the gravel trucks feeding Queen Creek and San Tan Valley chip vinyl straight through to the paint. Color PPF absorbs rock chips the way clear PPF does, so the factory paint under it stays flawless.
Finishes
APTERIX:CLR comes in gloss, satin and matte finishes across a range of solids, metallics and specialty colors. We also install satin and matte clear PPF over your existing color if you want the finish change without a full color change.

Color PPF. Vinyl wraps tend to shrink, lift at edges and fade faster under sustained 110°+ surface temperatures. Color PPF is built on the same UV-stable urethane as clear film and is far more tolerant of an East Valley summer. It's the better choice if you want the color to look the same in year four as it did on day one.
No. Color PPF is removable, and the factory paint underneath has been protected the whole time. That's a big reason people choose it over a repaint: you can go back to stock for resale, or change colors again later.
Gloss, satin and matte finishes across a growing range of solids, metallics and specialty colors. Stop by the Mesa shop to see physical samples on real panels — colors read very differently in Arizona sun than on a screen.
Typically 3 to 5 days depending on the vehicle. Much of that is prep and disassembly so edges can be wrapped rather than cut on the paint, which is what makes the film last.
Yes. Accent work like a satin black hood, roof or mirror caps is common, and so is satin or matte clear PPF over your existing color if you want the finish change without a full color change.
