Why Color PPF in North Texas
Vinyl wraps were designed for mild climates and clean roads. DFW has neither.
It doesn't shrink or lift in the heat
Vinyl is a thin film with adhesive that softens in a Texas summer. That means edges lifting and seams opening by year two. Color PPF is thick urethane engineered for hot climates.

The install
From color choice to driving it home
- 1Written quote by vehicle. Send your year, make, model and the color you're leaning toward. You get an exact number and a timeline before you commit.
- 2Samples on real panels. Gloss, satin and matte in your color, outside, in the sun, next to the actual car.
- 3Full paint decontamination and disassembly where it matters. Handles, badges and trim come off so edges are wrapped, not cut on the paint.
- 4Install, cure, inspect with you. A full color change is typically 3 to 5 days. You walk every panel before you leave.

How much does Color PPF cost in Dallas?+
It depends on the vehicle, the finish and how much of the car you're changing. Send us your year, make, model and the color you're considering and we reply with one exact written number for your car.
Color PPF or a vinyl wrap for Texas heat?+
Color PPF. Vinyl wraps tend to shrink, lift at edges and fade faster under sustained summer heat. Color PPF is built on the same UV-stable urethane as clear film and is far more tolerant of a North Texas summer. It's the better choice if you want the color to look the same in year four as it did on day one.
Does it damage the paint when it's removed?+
No. Color PPF is removable, and the factory paint underneath has been protected the whole time. That's a big reason people choose it over a repaint: you can go back to stock for resale, or change colors again later.
Will it protect against hail?+
Honest answer: not against dents. Film protects paint from chips, scratches and etching, but it won't stop a hailstone from denting the metal underneath. What it does do is keep the paint intact through a hail event, which usually means paintless dent repair is possible afterward instead of a repaint.
How long does a full color change take?+
Typically 3 to 5 days depending on the vehicle. Much of that is prep and disassembly so edges can be wrapped rather than cut on the paint, which is what makes the film last.
Can I do just a few panels, like the hood and roof?+
Yes. Accent work like a satin black hood, roof or mirror caps is common, and so is satin or matte clear PPF over your existing color if you want the finish change without a full color change.
