Starting prices reflect a typical sedan or coupe. Trucks, SUVs and wide-body cars use more film and more labor, so they quote higher — rocker panels and the rear bumper loading edge are the most common truck add-ons. We confirm your exact price in writing before we schedule.

Why North Texas is one of the hardest places in the country on a front bumper

Tollway, 121 and I-35E

Constant construction traffic at highway speed. Sand, gravel and debris hit the hood and bumper every single commute.

The Frisco-to-Celina growth corridor

Gravel trucks everywhere. If you drive it daily, unprotected paint picks up chips in months, not years.

Texas sun, ten months a year

UV fades and chalks clear coat. Apterix uses a UV-stable top coat built for hot climates — no yellowing, no hazing.

The film

Why Apterix, and why we put our name on it

Apterix is our own paint protection film, installed exclusively by Supreme Wraps locations and select partner installers. There's no third-party brand to hide behind — if the film or the install isn't right, that's on us, and we fix it.

  • 15-year warranty — three to five years beyond the 10–12 year terms standard among major film brands.
  • Self-healing top coat — light swirls and wash marks flow back smooth. In Dallas it usually heals itself sitting in the driveway.
  • UV-stable — engineered for hot climates; yellowing was a problem with older, cheaper films, not this one.
  • Your finish, your call — PRO gloss, EVO matte, or CLR color PPF if you want a new look with protection built in.

The install

What actually makes film last

Most of the time on your car goes into prep, not application. That's where a 15-year film either earns it or doesn't.

  1. 1Written quote, panel by panel. Bring the car or send photos. You get an exact number and a timeline before you commit.
  2. 2Full paint decontamination and inspection. Film bonds to clean paint. Light swirls and oxidation are corrected first so nothing gets sealed in.
  3. 3Wrapped, sealed edges. Peeling is almost always an install problem. Properly wrapped edges stay down through Texas summers.
  4. 4Inspection with you. Front end is typically 1–2 days; full body 3–5. You see every panel before you leave.

How to judge any PPF installer — including us

Get a quote from anyone you like. Just ask these five questions, and make them answer in writing.

  • What film is it, and who warranties it? Ask for the brand and the warranty term. Ours: Apterix, 15 years.
  • Is the price a range or a number? A range means the number moves after the car is in the bay. Ours is fixed in writing first.
  • Are edges wrapped or cut on the paint? Cut edges lift. Wrapped edges don't.
  • Will they tell you what PPF doesn't do? It won't stop hail dents. Anyone who sells it as hail protection is overselling it. It does keep the paint intact so paintless dent repair is usually possible instead of a repaint.
  • Will they turn work away? If your paint has existing chips or deep scratches, film seals in whatever's underneath. We'll tell you honestly what's worth protecting first.

Questions DFW drivers ask us

How much does paint protection film cost in Dallas?+

At Supreme Wraps Dallas, front-end PPF starts at $1,299 and covers the hood, fenders, front bumper, mirror caps, headlights and fog lights. Full-body coverage starts at $3,999 and covers every exterior painted surface plus headlights and fog lights. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, body complexity and paint condition, and we confirm it in writing.

Will PPF protect my car from hail?+

Honest answer: not against dents. PPF is a surface film; it protects paint from chips, scratches and etching, but it won't stop a hailstone from denting the metal underneath. What it does do is keep the paint intact through a hail event, which usually means paintless dent repair is possible afterward instead of a repaint.

Does the film yellow or peel in Texas heat?+

Quality film installed correctly does not. Apterix uses a UV-stable top coat designed for hot climates; yellowing was a problem with older, cheaper films that lacked proper UV inhibitors. Peeling is almost always an installation issue. Properly wrapped and sealed edges stay down through Texas summers.

Does it really self-heal?+

Yes, for light swirl marks and fine scratches. The top coat is elastic; heat from the sun, a warm rinse or a heat gun lets the surface flow back to smooth. It will not heal a deep gouge or a scratch that reaches the paint. In Dallas the film usually heals itself sitting in the driveway.

How long does installation take?+

A front-end package is typically 1 to 2 days. Full-body coverage is usually 3 to 5 days depending on the vehicle. We do a full paint decontamination and inspection first so the film bonds to clean paint, which is where most of the time goes.

Can you film a car that isn't brand new?+

Used cars are fine as long as the paint is in good condition. We correct light swirls and oxidation before installation; existing chips and deep scratches should be touched up first because the film will seal in whatever is underneath. Bring it by and we'll tell you honestly what's worth protecting.

Your paint only gets one chance at day one.
